Azte was the founder and first emperor of the civilization that his descendant Mountezuma had been ruling until Quaxalcroc rebelled against him. He was a beloved leader and now, his spirit has been reawakened to regain power for his dynasty.
Role: Denier
Overview
Azte is a decent Nature denier using Possession for denial. He's only got two denying moves in his AoE Possession and double Possession. For a denier, he also has good speed and relic slots as well as an acceptable trait. Outside that, he can spread Poison and Damage Reduction and has some pretty good self-support skills to go with his surprisingly tanky life.
Pros:
- Acceptable trait
- Good self-support moves in NER, True Vision, Pyrophobic Shield and Torture Immunity
- Good stats
- Nice relic slots for a denier
Cons:
- Easily denied by anything except Stun
- High cooldowns and stamina cost on best moves
- Only form of denial is Possession
Recommended Moveset

- Rock Hard / Piety Please (Rock for Self NER + True Vision, 33s, 3 CD) / (Piety for Self Pyrophobic Shield + Torture Immunity, 31s, 2 CD)

Counters
- Monsters with Possession Immunity such as JoshDub and Cyberiel can hinder Azte's usability.
- He can be easily denied, as long as it is not Stun. CDA is most effective due to his relatively high cooldowns, so use monsters like Siamiss and Glamhead when facing off against him.
- He's literally the worst monster possibly chosen to beat Quaxalcroc because of many things, Quaxalcroc has the elemental advantage against him, he's immune to his Possession, and he will vaccum Azte easily because of his Tortures (Including Burn and Ignite) and his raw damage.
