Most victims of this bad-tempered sea critter end up skewered just for getting in his way, but his ease to catch distracted prey doesn't make him lazy. He likes a good challenge and constantly puts his hunting skills to the test. Thanks to his long and pointy sword, he can catch fish ten times his size!

Role: Attacker

Overview

Marlinaut is a surprisingly great Water attacker but is a let down for one of the most broken abilities in the game called the dreaded Pierce. First off, he can boost his damage output with Extra Turns meaning he could be a huge threat especially with those insane stats, Astounding power, good life and to top it off, amazing speed for his role. He has access to Pierce and can abuse it assuming he doesn't get PER'd or get stopped by an Absolute Zero Chi Ao Loong or Spekthra. His self support is rather good, with Precision, Stamina Regen, True Vision and Damage Boost. All those boosts fit for his role as Stamina Regeneration helps with his ET's and Well, I don't need to explain the rest do I? Unfortunately, all his moves are water based so he struggles against monsters with the water element. His pierce needs a set-up so that gives Chi Ao Loong or Pure Pandalf the perfect opportunity to PER and take advantage of the battle from there, and to make it even worse, His Extra Turns would make him a nice dinner to Lord Nebotus and any monster with Anticipation. His trait is a huge disappointment unlike his relic slots which are pretty nice. All in all, an improved Wing-Su that will probably never shine in today's meta but still a pretty nice choice for your team.

Pros:

  • Access to Pierce
  • Can boost damage output with ETs
  • Can drain stamina with Drowned and Stamina Leak
  • Great Self Support in Damage Boost, Pierce, Precision, Stamina Regeneration and True Vision

  • Access to a 0 CD skill, so CDA isn't a problem
  • Good relic slots

Cons:

  • All damaging skills are Water based meaning he is weak against Water monsters
  • Extra turn skills can be Anticipation bait
  • Bad trait
  • Requires a turn to set up Pierce
