Monster Legends Competitive Wiki

Teddywave was supposed to be a toy, but a mistake at the factory turned her into a powerful combatant instead. She's still cute, but she spends more time working with the Space Defenders than entertaining kids.

Role: Curser/Attacker

Overview

Teddywave is a very one-dimensional Thunder Curser with Pierce that focuses on spamming TDR, Shock, Electrified and PER. Being setup like this doesn't give Teddywave too much flexibility in it's skill set. It's here to do one main job, and that's to setup its Tortures, reduce damage outputs, and PER. Pierce does give it some leverage since it means Teddy doesn't care at all about Defensive effects like Dodge Area, Mega Taunt, Evasion, or even Elemental Shields. Torture Immunity does naturally stop Teddywave's Tortures though. Teddy can also be used as a somewhat semi-Garuda as their Pierce allows their Status Caster AoE Shock to go through traits at the start of battle. Having 2 Single PERs is also quite handy with Teddy's Pierce, allowing them to potentially remove scary effects from their enemies, even if protected by MT or Taunt. A lack of PER in their AoEs does hurt though, and it especially hurts that their only AoEs only apply their Tortures and a simple Dmg Reduction. And their Relics are ok, Slumster's allowing Teddy to Support their team with Stamina gain and Mask offering some nifty options. This is about all Teddywave is capable of as a Curser. They can be ran as a Pierce Attacker though, however it must be stated that their damage output pales in comparison to much better Pierce Attackers like Cherub Cupid, Serpentex and Elfeera. A max of single 45 and AoE 25 is really really low, and is only somewhat usable thanks to Pierce and Teddy not caring about Tanks, specifically aiming for the enemies' less bulky allies. Overall, Teddy is, on one end, a Curser who may be able to pull off some gimmicks, but has nothing that can allow them to be as good as the current Pierce monsters that exist in the meta right now. And on the other end, a Pierce Attacker that once again pales in comparison to the more powerful Pierce Attackers.

Pros:

  • Access to 2 PER skills
  • Acceptable relic slots

Cons:

  • Bland movepool
  • The bad damage output and unacceptable power stat hinder her Attacker capabilities
  • Moderate to high stamina costs for its best skills

Recommended Allies

  • Mega Taunt monsters; such as Pangoliath, Sparkus and King Atum, can protect her trait and low life, allowing her to attack more with her trait
  • Damage boosting support monsters such as Algata, Brainlodon, Forge Labs, Ahma Niah and Firefool (with Ahma and Firefool having access to TT) can constantly apply damage boosts to Teddywave to make up for the lackluster damage output.
  • Galvanus when protected is a great ally, so Teddywave can deal with Shadowyna; he has access to Team Anticipation + NER to prevent Shadowyna from doing any more shenanigans ever again.
