Malairion snubbed The Frutastor at an audition for his team of Supervillains, but when he got home, he found that every gutter was clogged with rotten fruit. There were worms everywhere. He realized that an act of revenge so evil could only come from a true supervillain, so he called The Frutastor and offered him a contract.

Role: Support

Overview

The Frutastor is a great Nature Support specializing in healing, restoring Stamina, and Life Removal. His trait is nice, with Torture Immunity meaning he isn't shut down by Nanovirus, Possession Immunity to keep him from healing the enemy team, and SC: Team Regeneration to keep his allies up and running. His relic slots allow for more sustainability and tanking with his really high Life, and he has two 30% Life Removal skills, taking out Mega Taunt monsters quickly. His moveset comes off as fairly bland, but it gets the job done at the end of the day. However, he has no NER, and he's extremely slow, neither of which are ideal for a Support, similar to Elfriede. All in all, though, he's definitely a great choice for any team.

Pros:

  • Has 0 CD Life Removal and heal, so he's fine against CDA
  • Multiple self- and team Support effects in Stamina Regeneration, Life Regeneration, heals, Stamina refills and Double Healing
  • AoE 30% Life Removal removes 90% Life from Mega Taunt monsters
  • Good trait
  • Great life

Cons:

  • Slowest Metropolitan in the game, tied with Scintherus
  • No NER
  • Easily denied by anything but Possession
  • Weak to Reverse and Negate Healing

Recommended Moveset

Gordan Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmare

  • Rotten Bananas (AoE 30% Life Removal + Team Life Regeneration + Stamina Regeneration, 40s, 2 CD)
  • Rotten Berries (AoE 30% Life Removal + Team 30% Heal, 46s, 3 CD)
  • Healthy Villain / Strawberry Shortcake (Healthy for 20% Life Removal + Self Stamina Regeneration, 30s, 0 CD) / (Strawberry for 30 Nature dmg + Team 30% Heal, 36s, 1 CD)
  • Healthy Salad / Banana Milkshake (Healthy for Team 30% Heal + 30% Stamina Restore, 42s, 2 CD) / (Banana for 30 Nature dmg + Team 30% Stamina Restore, 36s, 1 CD)

Recommended Runes: 3 Speed/Team Speed, 1 Life 2 Speed/Team Speed, 3 Speed w/mutant Life

Recommended Relics: Torvax's Mask, Eeltron's Mask, Dream's Mask, Talany's Mask; Rudechaw's Armor, Morgz's Armor, Nebotus' Armor, Turtlellion's Armor

Recommended Talents: Hidden Shiv, Phase Shield, Medpack, Tactical Scouter, Bodyguard

Recommended Allies

  • He's a nice ally for any Tank with his Life and Stamina restoring skills. He can also apply Life and Stamina Regeneration to sustain his allies and defend against Stamina-draining relics and skills. Fossarius pairs amazingly with him as he doesn't have access to any healing by himself.
  • Penghou can increase life for him and his allies, making him even harder to kill.
  • There's a strategy that people referred to as "Triple Nature" where he was paired up with Slumster and Posidonia that was insanely common and it almost guaranteed you to win trophies. That could count I guess?

Counters

  • Monsters that can apply Shields can easily counter Frutastor's Life Removal. Elfriede is able to cast a 50% Shield at the start of the battle, as well as Mouseron being able to apply a 50% Shield to himself at the beginning of the turn, turning that 90% Life Removal into a 40% if he has Mega Taunt applied. You could also run Pure Pandalf or Turtlellion, who can apply Damage Protection.
  • Despite having the elemental disadvantage, Spekthra's Culling the Weak can weaken his healing capabilities and toss him out. Waldorf, Posidonia, and Aloe Death can also apply Reverse Healing, turning his main gimmick against him.
  • He is hard-countered by Cherub Cupid (especially when Cupid is paired with Algata), who has the elemental advantage and Pierce. He also shuts down the aforementioned Triple Nature strat.
