The second monster from the blog series Monsters but Enchanced is Kenrei.

Kenrei is a good Megataunt Tank that is a viable choice for anyone looking into the high meta, however as the same case with all monsters from this category, He is severely outclassed by other Megataunts in his category such as Oliphanatic, Mouseron and most importantly Pangoliath. In this blog I will try to fix his flaws after analyzing them in detail. I use a 130 Kenrei on my alternate account so I have a pretty good knowldege of what needs to be fixed already.

His Theme was a Megataunt tank that had a great attack potential so I will keep him like that by enchancing each of his aspect to a next level.

Analysis and Changes[]

Let's start with his Major Flaws first.

  • Lack of Sustainable Relics to survive this Meta, Sustain is something that Kenrei Lacks at, sure he has Armor + Mask Relic Slots but when you compare it to Oliphanatic who has Double Shield Relics, Hammergrom who has Armor + Shield Relic or Mouseron who has SC Shield + Shield and Armor Relics. It just feels massively overshadowed. In a Meta where attackers can easily Otk you if you lack sustain, Kenrei gets beaten horribly. A fix for this is simple, change his relics to more sustainable ones or give him something to work like Uriel as a compromise of not having sustainable relics. I will go with the latter.

Fix: His Relics have now been updated to Armor + Essence. Armor suits him as he wears one and Essence is to signify his ghostly essence that now remains in the world after being killed by Kurai Kage.

  • Lack of a good trait outside SC: MT, Something that his peers like Mouseron or Pangoliath have over him are their absolutely lovely traits. This makes them much more viable than Kenrei. To get him a step above Mouseron's Trait, we will give him something as usable as Mouseron's SC 50% Shield.

Fix: His Trait has now been Updated to- Rank 0: Bulwark, Rank 1: SC: Megataunt and Rank 3: SC: Damage Protection

With this both of his Major Flaws have been fixed so we can move onto the minor changes and the movepool changes.

  • The only minor change that needs to be done here is his stats which I feel are a bit unimpressive for a SS-OP Tier Tank we are trying to make. His Life and Strength will be buffed to match his Attacker-Tank theme.

Fix: His Life has now been buffed to a massive 96512 from 93496 and his strength has now been buffed to 8624 from 8327

Onto the moveset changes, these are what are gonna put him up on par with the SS monsters such as Mojadrak in the Viability rankings. These movesets will also make him look like a season 6 monster rather than a season 4 one.

  • Kote Men Do's damage is buffed from 40 to 55, ( 55 Metal Damage at 0-S, 0-CD)
  • Magnetic Bogu now applies a Positive Effect Protection and Metalophobic Shield ( Self Mega Taunt + PEP + Metalophobic Shield at 48-S, 3-CD), This is the to give him a similarly busted move as Shelly so that he really becomes a viable choice
  • Tsuki now PER's the opponent before hit and hits more harder ( Single PER + 70 Metal Damage + 3 Turn Death Countdown at 36-S, 1-CD)
  • Jodan-no-kamae now applies Damage Protection and 100% Life Shield instead of the damage boost (Self Skill Mirror + Damage Protection + 100% Shield at 48-S, 3-CD), This skil provides him a very good way to sustain and when combined with Magnetic Bogu, the enemy is pretty much done.
  • Indestructible-Do now NER's Kenrei and also applies 1 turn evasion on him but at a higher cooldown of 2 (Self NER + 50% Shield + Evasion 1-Turn + Extra Turn at 36-S, 2-CD), This move was very risky to make given that Nebotus and other Anti's were present everywhere, The evasion will make this move actually something worth running rather than a suicide skill.

With this, we are finished with all the enhancements we had to make. Let's Begin.

Overview[]

Kenrei is an incredible Metal Tank who possesses great offensive capabilities as well as deadly tanking capabilities. His stats are awesome. His trait is fantastic, giving him instant sustain with the damage protection and his relic slots are absolutely broken for a tank. His skillset is absolutely ridiculous, which includes PEP, Metalophobic Shields, Skill Mirror, Shields, Damage Protection, Evasion for a tank and PER, 70 Damage Single at 1-CD, SHield Removal as well as Death Countdown for an attacker. Overall he is an insane tank that will be remembered for his unique theme as well as broken balance.

  • Jodan-No-Kamae (Self Skill Mirror + Damage Protection + 100% Shield 48-S, 3-CD)
  • Tsuki (Single PER + 70 Metal Damage + 3 Turn Death Countdown 36-S, 1-CD)

Recommended Runes: 3 Life/Team Speed, 2 Life 1 Team Speed

Recommended Relics: Rudechaw's Armor, Morgz's Armor and Flameara's Essence, Uriel Essence

Recommended Talents: Sin Eater, Soul Drag, Crystal Form

Counters[]

  • Monsters with access to Double PER such as Pure Pandalf, Chi Ao Loong or Jaakuna Hican remove his plethora of postive effects allowing his teammates to attack Kenrei or his allies.
  • Monsters with Pierce such as Spekthra and Stalkiller can completely ignore Kenrei and go after his allies.

He's a great contender on SS+ Rank with Pango considering both of them have their Ups... Pango having potential to block AZ Chi Ao Loong while Enhanced Kenrei having access to devastating potential when put into movement.
