Top 10 Deny Skills

10. Lamia

The Red Death (AoE 35 Earth dmg + CDA + Ignite + Daze, 32s, 4 CD) Does 35 Earth damage to all enemies, activates cooldowns on all enemies, and applies ignite and daze to all enemies. The only issues are the high cooldown, no counter to area dodge, and no PER. The stamina cost is great, but its just not the most useful deny. Still, this skill is decent and hard to counter.

9. Warmaster Sherezar

Random Spellbook (AoE 20 Magic dmg + Random Control Effect and Random Torture Effect + Team Random Positive Effect, 43s, 4 CD) Random control and a random torture and a random positive effect to all allies? Very good. The stamina cost and the cooldown is moderate, but the issues are, of course, the lack of anything to counter area dodge and the lack of PER. Still a really difficult move to counter.

8. Wangzhou

Er Meng (AoE 100% Stamina Removal + AoE Curse, 30s, 3 CD)

AoE 100% Stamina Removal?!?! AoE Curse?!?!?!?!!?!?!!? WOWIE!!! AND the stamina cost and cooldowns are decent! This is a great move! The only issue is that Stamina is not an efficient deny for monsters like Hookuai or Ugluk, since they both have a 0CD 0s move, which could be a problem. Area Dodge also exists, too. I wish this guy was higher on the list, cause DAMN. He DESTROYED me in PvP battles back in the day. Love him.

7. Xiron the Ruby

Ruby Explosion (AoE 45 Fire dmg + Ignite + 2 Random Control Effects, 56s, 3 CD)

This move is good. AoE Fire damage- which is used by a magic monster- and random control effects. I love this move! The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't have any PER for enemies. 2 control effects is really good, just in case one of them misses. Though, the stamina cost is pretty high. The cooldowns are normal, considering the other denier's moves. Xiron is still a great choice for a control monster. If you have the money for a Nemesis, that is.

Thundeer Skellington (AoE 25 Thunder dmg + Shock + Random Mega Control Effect, 35s, 3 CD)

This move is great, but do I really have to say this again? No PER, weak to Area Dodge, and yeah. Compared to other denial skills like Grakon's and Xiron's, the move just doesn't have a high amount of damage. The random mega control effect is good, which can deny enemies for 2 turns. A great denier for the metagame right now.

5. Crabbydroid

Portuguese Man O'War (Mega Freeze + AoE Freeze + Drowned, 45s, 3 CD)

Irukandji (AoE PER + Stun + Freeze, 45s, 4 CD)

These both are pretty good moves for denial, but they both have their issues. The Portuguese Man O'War has a single target Mega Freeze then AoE Freeze, which can easily scrap any Area Dodge issues, but the fact that it doesn't have any PER on enemies makes it vulnerable to Skill Mirror, Evasion, and other protection effects. The stamina cost is rather high, and the cooldown is moderately good for the move, but the lack of PER is why it didn't land higher on the leaderboard. Irukandji, on the other hand, DOES do PER, but it's weak to Area Dodge. 'Nuff said.

4. Grakon

No Rest for the Wicked (AoE Trait Disabled + 45 Nature dmg + Stun + Poison, 30s, 2 CD)

This is an insane move. Does stun to all enemies, 45 nature damage, AND TRAIT DISABLE. TO ALL ENEMIES. This move is perfect for denying! The cooldown is great, the stamina cost is great, and the move is great. There are a few issues- Area Dodge monsters can easily bypass this move, and there is no PER for enemies, so protection skills can easily block it. I wish this move had these two issues fixed, but its still one of the best denying moves to exist right now.

3. Korruptus

Hollow Abyss (AoE 30 Dark dmg + PER + MegaCorrupted + Self Light Weakness, 28s, 3 CD)

The third spot on this leaderboard comes Korruptus, the corrupted king. Hollow Abyss does PER to all enemies, which can remove all protection effects, and it does MegaCorrupted to all enemies- 2 chances of an enemy hitting their allies with a skill! A problem is the self Light Weakness, which isn't much of a nerf but it is a bad thing. Really low stamina costs compared to other denial skills, and a decent enough cooldown. Overall, a really good skill. I put Lord Pumpseed's before, only because this move is still weak to Area Dodge monsters, as Pumpseed's skill has a singe corruption and then AoE corruption. This move is still really powerful in terms of denial.

2. Lord Pumpseed

Hayman Ghost Carnival (AoE Random Torture Skill (before PER) + PER + Corrupted + AoE Corrupted, 40s, 3 CD)

The runner-up to Thalassa. This move is nearly as busted as Thalassa's, but misses the spot due to the inability of the combos with other moves like Thalassa's. The PER removes protective and potentially dangerous moves such as Evasion or skill mirror, and then applies Corruption to one enemy (which removes the possibility of Area Dodge) and then does AoE Corruption, which gets rid of everyone else. One of the issues is the fact that it has a weakness to MegaTaunt, since the PER is only AoE and not single target, all the corruption and tortures gets targeted to the tank. Thats about it.

1. Warmaster Thalassa

Abyss Bottom (PER + Trait Disabled + AoE Mega Freeze 49s, 4 CD)

Ah, the meta-breaking monster known as Thalassa. The considerably most powerful monster in the metagame so far. Yes, with her 3 extra turn skills, she is truly a monster. The move Abyss Bottom is the only denying move people use when she is fully ranked, which disables the trait and removes positive status effects from one enemy, which easily gets rid of a monster like Wyrmlad or Hornet with Area Dodge, and applies Mega Freeze to all enemies. The fact that it stops all enemies from moving for 2 turns makes it nearly unbeatable. Also, if you combo it with her three extra turn moves- which can do PER to one enemy, trait disable to one enemy, and NER one ally, you could easily take out all three monsters at once. The only issue is the abominable cooldown of 4 and the massive stamina cost of 49, but the extra turns can easily get rid of that cooldown (Anticipation could be a problem, though) and the Supercharged Amulet is an easy fix for the stamina. Absolutely busted.
